Brown Studies The Brown Studies series began with a fascination with color and pattern and the desire to see what happens when seemingly unrelated elements come together. “Clashing” colors, patterns and textures are juxtaposed to create a tension between dissonance and harmony. The eye is tolerant where the mind is not. Patterns may thus be simultaneously concealed and disclosed. Cacophony becomes harmony as another landscape emerges, another country is revealed. |
